Job DescriptionThe Director, Enterprise Program Management leads the planning, governance, coordination, and execution of strategic technology initiatives spanning multiple portfolios, product teams, and global delivery organizations. This role serves as a central orchestrator for enterprise programs, ensuring alignment to technology priorities, successful delivery of committed outcomes, and adherence to established governance, intake, prioritization, business case, and reporting processes. Partnering closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams, the Director drives visibility, accountability, risk management, and execution excellence across large-scale initiatives including resilience, regulatory compliance, modernization, AI adoption, and other strategic transformation efforts, enabling consistent delivery of business value across a global technology organization.
Essential Functions:- Lead strategic, cross-portfolio technology initiatives that drive enterprise priorities and business outcomes.
- Provide leadership and governance for complex programs spanning multiple portfolios, product teams, and global delivery organizations.
- Align business, product, engineering, architecture, compliance, and operations stakeholders to deliver strategic objectives.
- Establish and oversee integrated execution plans, including priorities, dependencies, risks, milestones, and outcome measurement.
- Drive delivery excellence, accountability, and decision-making across organizational boundaries.
- Provide executive-level reporting, insights, and recommendations to CIOs and senior leadership.
- Anticipate and mitigate enterprise risks, resolving issues and removing obstacles to successful delivery.
- Lead adoption of standardized program management practices, governance frameworks, and performance metrics.
- Foster collaboration across geographically distributed teams to ensure consistent execution and operational effectiveness.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance delivery velocity, organizational effectiveness, and business value realization.
Basic Qualifications- Typically requires Bachelor's degree with 10 years or more years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience- 10+ years of Program Management experience in large-scale technology organizations.
- Proven success managing complex programs spanning multiple organizations and executive stakeholders.
- Experience supporting organizations of 1,000+ technology professionals.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile delivery, and product operating models.
- Demonstrated success influencing senior executives without direct authority.
- Experience leading a distributed team.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $149,515.00 - $175,900.00
