Position Overview

The role of Principal Learning Experience Architect has a critical role to play in building the Ralliant people and culture strategy. The Integrated Talent Team will be focused on enabling change at scale, as well as building out and integrating our 'The Ralliant Way' Framework across our employee experience and people processes.

The Principal Learning Experience Architect will work with the Senior Director of Learning & Talent Development to design and deliver strategies and solutions to advance our business team and integrate and activate the leadership potential for all employees. This role is a part of the Global Talent Development and Learning team, a Center of Excellence on the Integrated Talent team. The team is responsible for sustaining and growing our culture and employees through leadership development and learning, talent and organizational development processes, engagement, and inclusion.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • Design and develop innovative, high-impact learning experiences that drive behavior change and business outcomes.
  • Apply instructional design principles and modern learning methodologies (e.g., microlearning, blended learning, social learning) to create engaging and scalable learning solutions.
  • Apply learning experience methodologies and standards across the learning portfolio to help ensure a high standard of excellence and design consistency
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and HR business partners to identify learning needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Leverage learning technologies, including learning management systems (LMS), learning experience platforms (LXP), and digital content authoring tools, to deliver and enhance learning programs.
  • Conduct user research and learner persona analysis to optimize learning journeys and improve engagement.
  • Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of learning experiences through data-driven insights and feedback loops, iterating as needed for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in learning design to support diverse learners across the organization.
  • Manage vendor relationships and curate third-party learning content as needed to supplement internally developed programs.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging learning technologies, and best practices to drive innovation in learning design.
  • Serve as an ad hoc consultative presence across the Ralliant footprint on learning and learning solution ecosystems

Required Qualifications:
  • Education in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Organizational Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or corporate learning & development
  • Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and learning technology platforms
  • Strong ability to create engaging, interactive, and effective learning content across various modalities (instructor-led, e-learning, virtual, blended)
  • Experience with learning analytics and evaluation methodologies to measure program effectiveness
  • Proficiency in learning development tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills when working with business users to develop requirements and defend systems capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Continued Education in Learning & Development, Educational Technology, or related field
  • Experience with AI-driven and adaptive learning technologies
  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) and design thinking principles applied to learning
  • Certification in instructional design, such as CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development) or similar
