Your role
Key Responsibilities
• Support and contribute to the team's analysis of the U.S. economy, including research on monetary policy, fiscal policy, and the economic outlook.
• Develop, maintain, and produce forecasts of the U.S. economic outlook.
• Analyze and interpret U.S. economic data, and assess their implications for the macroeconomic outlook.
• Contribute to the writing and preparation of multiple written publications produced each week, maintaining high analytical rigor and with clear, well-written communication.
• In addition to writing, communicate and present the US economic outlook to key internal stakeholders and clients.
• Collaborate closely with other economists and team members on research, forecasting methodologies, and ongoing analytical projects
Your team
We are seeking a highly motivated economist or statistician to join a top ranked research and forecasting team responsible for analysis and forecasting of the U.S. economy. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to influential economic analysis that is widely read by financial market participants and policymakers.
Your expertise
• Strong academic background in economics, statistics, or a closely related field.
• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in economics or statistics preferred, or commensurate professional experience.
• Several years of experience working as an economist or statistician, ideally in a forecasting or macroeconomic analysis role.
• Deep familiarity with U.S. economic data, indicators, and statistical releases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex economic concepts clearly and concisely.
• Programming experience (e.g., statistical or data analysis languages) preferred.
• Prior experience at a public sector institution (such as the Federal Reserve or similar institution) is a plus, but not required.
• Experience producing research, forecasts, or publications for financial market participants or policy audiences.
Salary information
The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role:
• United States - New York - New York min USD 233750 - max USD 251250 /annum
