Job Summary

The Principal Field Product Manager is a highly strategic role positioned at the critical intersection of core product innovation and global enterprise execution. In this role, you are not just observing the market; you are actively shaping it by bringing direct Product representation to our strategic enterprise accounts. You will ensure their long-term success, accelerate their cloud-delivered security journeys, and maximize the real-world adoption of Palo Alto Networks industry-defining SASE solutions. This position is designed for a collaborative, creative, and business-savvy technologist who thrives on bridging the gap between the engineering rooms of the customer and our core product roadmaps. You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, while simultaneously building prototypes and business justifications that directly influence core roadmap priorities and define the future of cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion Strategic Enterprise SASE Transformations: Deliver product expertise directly to the field during strategic enterprise transformations. You will own AI-powered design validation with human-in-the-loop review for complex customer environments and unblock challenges to secure technical wins and eliminate high-level deployment risks.
  • Orchestrate Complex SASE Deployments: Collaborate and drive initial deployments to aggressively accelerate the enterprise time-to-value. You will lead cross-functional execution to seamlessly move customers from legacy access models to cutting-edge, modern SASE consumption, completely removing friction from their cloud security adoption journey.
  • Drive Consumption & Programmatic Upsell: Lead programmatic engagement with strategic enterprise accounts to maximize consumption and expand existing use cases. You will collaborate closely with field and GTM to secure upsells and directly improve renewal and attach rates.
  • Pioneer AI-Driven Proactive Account Governance: Shift enterprise customer success from reactive firefighting to predictive, state-of-the-art management. You will champion the engineering of automated, AI-powered health monitoring systems that anticipate usage, quality, and outage risks, scaling your custom frameworks from our most critical customers to our entire global base.
  • Directly Influence the Core Product Roadmap: Deeply understand enterprise requirements through high-touch field engagements. By identifying recurring themes and building functional, proof-of-concept prototypes, you will construct compelling business cases that reshape core Product Management priorities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of eight years of technical experience in enterprise networking or cloud-delivered security environments, operating as a Product Manager, Systems Engineer or a Solutions Architect
  • Advanced technical knowledge of SASE architectures, enterprise network routing, cloud security frameworks, and identity-centric access models.
  • Proven track record of collaborating across matrixed organizations, with a demonstrated ability to align and partner with Sales Engineering, Core Product Management, Customer Success, and Professional Services.
  • A dedicated ownership mindset with the ability to navigate high-stakes technical deployment hurdles, mitigate account risks, and support high-value executive engagements under pressure.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex product features, technical capabilities, and business outcomes to senior internal executives and enterprise C-level clients
