Full Job Description
Summary:

The Principal Enterprise Architect is a senior technical leader within the Office of the CTO responsible for defining and governing the core architectural foundations of the Moder AI Platform. This role ensures that platform design decisions are consistent, scalable, and reusable across implementations, enabling the organization to systematically accelerate enterprise modernization efforts.

The Principal Enterprise Architect establishes the architectural patterns that underpin data, AI, and application development on Palantir Foundry and AIP, with a particular focus on system-of-record transformation, migration automation, and AI-native engineering practices. The role translates strategic platform objectives into concrete architectural standards and ensures their consistent application across engineering teams.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Define, evolve, and maintain the core architectural framework of the Moder AI Platform, including ontology design, data modeling standards, pipeline architecture, application patterns, and integration approaches across origination, servicing, and other enterprise systems of record.
  • Design the end-to-end architecture for AI-enabled migration capabilities that transform legacy systems, including data structures, business logic, workflows, and application behavior into platform-native assets. Ensure these capabilities are scalable and repeatable across large enterprise modernization programs.
  • Identify recurring implementation patterns across deployments and formalize them into reusable platform capabilities. Drive consistency across engineering teams to reduce duplication, improve delivery velocity, and increase platform leverage over time.
  • Establish and enforce architectural standards in collaboration with engineering leadership. Review and approve critical system designs, and exercise architectural authority to ensure alignment with platform principles, scalability requirements, security standards, and long-term maintainability.
  • Define architectural approaches for integrating GenAI, agentic systems, and automation into the platform. Establish patterns for AI-assisted development, intelligent migration workflows, and production-grade agent orchestration.
  • Provide direct architectural guidance to the CTO and executive leadership on platform strategy, technology investments, build-versus-configure decisions, and technical risk assessment for strategic initiatives and commercial engagements.
  • Support the most complex customer and internal implementations by translating enterprise requirements into scalable, standardized architectural solutions while ensuring alignment with platform direction.
  • Mentor senior and principal engineers across the organization. Strengthen architectural decision-making capabilities within engineering teams and contribute to the development of internal technical standards and best practices.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience delivering solutions on Palantir Foundry and AIP, including ontology design, data pipelines, system integration, and application architecture.
  • Proven ability to design and operationalize reusable architectural patterns with measurable impact on delivery speed, cost efficiency, system reliability, or scalability.
  • Experience designing and deploying production-grade GenAI or agentic systems, including orchestration, tool integration, governance, and observability.
  • Deep expertise in modern data architecture, including cloud-native systems, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience leading architecture for large-scale modernization or migration programs involving legacy systems of record.
  • Strong judgment in evaluating architectural tradeoffs, including decisions around standardization, reuse, customization, and system design constraints.
  • Experience advising senior executives (CTO, CIO, or equivalent) on enterprise technology strategy and architectural direction.
  • Ability to operate effectively across strategic and hands-on contexts, from executive-level platform design to detailed technical architecture reviews.
