Principal Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge automation solutions and power drive technologies for the metals industry.

What you'll do
  • Experience with DC and AC drive upgrades
  • Review basic power system requirements for drive feeders and protection
  • Outline regulator performance/response based on process applications
  • Share technical expertise in areas of the metals industry such as Melting, Casting or Rolling Mill applications for all project life cycles (sales, development, commissioning, and support)
  • Support existing installed systems and assist customers with challenging technical issues through process knowledge, data analysis and implementation.
  • Complete assignments requiring development of new and/or improved engineering techniques and procedures
  • Interface and communicate with local project team (project managers, engineers, support personnel) and internal experts from other areas as well customers and suppliers to provide engineering solutions to technical issues and project-related matters
  • Mentor young engineers during project design and execution.
  • Perform on site commissioning and training as required
