Job Summary:

As Prime Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of major prime contracts, with a primary focus on post-award contract administration. You will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of complex construction and consultancy contracts, working closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams to manage risk, drive performance, and ensure robust commercial governance. #LI-CS1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead the administration of major construction and consultancy contracts in accordance with contract terms, project procedures, and governance requirements
    • Manage change, variation, and claims processes, including entitlement assessment, commercial evaluation, and negotiation support
    • Provide commercial advice to project and construction teams on contractual rights, obligations, and risk exposure
    • Ensure effective contractual correspondence, notices, and documentation in line with contractual requirements and project controls
    • Support development and execution of commercial strategies aligned with project objectives
    • Interface with client, contractor, consultant, and internal stakeholders to drive timely commercial decisions and issue resolution
    • Contribute to commercial reporting, forecasting, and governance processes
    • Support dispute and claims resolution, coordinating with legal and project controls teams where required
    • Participates in project related meetings, and reviews project financial data to ensure awareness of all project activities that may affect the prime contract, identifies opportunities for revenue enhancement, schedules relief and claim avoidance, and ensures compliance with prime contract terms and conditions


Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.

Minimum 12 years' experience, with a preference for 15+ years' industry experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven experience in contracts management / contract administration within the energy, engineering, or construction sectors
  • Strong track record working on large-scale, complex infrastructure projects, ideally in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Experience in EPC programme management, and integrated delivery teams
  • Demonstrable expertise in post-award contract management, including specifically change, claims, and commercial risk management
