ABOUT THE TEAM
The Portfolio Management Analyst is a junior, development-track role designed primarily to expand our client-facing service capacity, while also supporting the strategic projects that scale our servicing model through increased efficiency, standardization, and repeatability.
This position will sit on the Fixed Income portfolio management team and will initially be anchored in core execution-inbox and request triage, data preparation, client reporting, and presentation support-to protect service quality as the business scales and to provide reliable backup coverage for senior team members. Over time, the Analyst will build the investment fluency and relationship management skillset required to meaningfully support high-value advisor teams, contribute to proactive advisor engagement, and strengthen long-term bench depth for the organization, while partnering on technology and workflow enhancements (e.g., Tableau dashboards, automation, and process improvements) that modernize how we deliver outcomes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Investment Team Support - Serve as a front-line resource for fixed income product, strategy, and account-specific inquiries from advisors, clients, and internal partners; escalate to Portfolio Managers as appropriate.
- Support (and over time, increasingly lead) advisor and client interactions, including market updates, portfolio positioning discussions, and ongoing relationship touchpoints.
- Coordinate and support platform due diligence and review meetings (quarterly/annual), including preparation of materials, data requests and ongoing support.
- Help manage one-off advisor/team needs by tracking open items, coordinating responses, and ensuring timely follow-through across stakeholders.
- Help maintain a working view of current macro conditions and develop timely talking points for advisor messaging; assist with competitor positioning requests and coordination with the sales desk as needed.
- Help manage shared team workflows including group inbox coverage, triage/prioritization of inbound requests, SLA discipline, and escalation protocols.
- Act as a day-to-day liaison between the portfolio management team and internal partners (sales, client service, platform teams), ensuring feedback loops and process updates are communicated effectively.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and team members on projects aimed at improving efficiency and strengthening the client service model.
Marketing Support - Own the maintenance of standard quarterly presentation templates and support the build of bespoke advisor/client materials.
- Act as a liaison with the marketing team to ensure ongoing maintenance of existing materials and coordination/support for new content and updates.
- Gather, validate, analyze, and package data for client-facing reporting, presentations, and sales collateral (performance, attribution drivers, exposures, trades, and market context).
- Produce "ready-to-send" materials that reflect a high-quality client experience, including clear narratives, consistent formatting, and tight turnaround execution.
- Help support thought leadership in partnership with Portfolio Managers (e.g., market commentary, short-form insights, and advisor-facing content).
Process Improvement Support - Build and maintain Tableau dashboards to enhance reporting, advisor engagement, and delivery of market/portfolio insights.
- Contribute to workflow automation and data projects as prioritized by investment team as needed.
- Partner with investment team members to identify efficiency opportunities and help drive adoption of tools that modernize client deliverables and team operating model.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (advanced degree or CFA progress a plus).
- 0-3 years of experience in asset management, trading, or financial services; exposure to fixed income or municipal markets preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for clients and internal partners.
- Desire to work in client facing capacity- often requiring direct engagement with clients and internal partners.
- Highly organized with strong time management; capable of balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Data skills (Tableau, SQL, VBA, or Python) a plus, especially for integrating fixed income datasets into client- and PM-facing dashboards is preferred
