Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable platform infrastructure that enables development teams to efficiently build, deploy, and operate applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud platforms, container orchestration, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices. You will work closely with software engineers, DevOps teams, security teams, and architects to develop self-service platforms and improve the software delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and internal developer platforms.
- Build and manage Kubernetes-based platforms for deploying and operating applications.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
- Create self-service tools, reusable templates, and automation for development teams.
- Monitor platform performance, reliability, security, and availability.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, SRE, and security teams to improve deployment processes and operational efficiency.
- Implement platform security, access controls, secrets management, and compliance standards.
- Troubleshoot platform issues and optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain platform documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Evaluate and adopt new cloud-native technologies and platform engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming using Python, Go, Bash, or Shell scripting.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, and security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience building Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) and self-service infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Backstage or similar developer portal platforms.
- Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK Stack, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Familiarity with secrets management tools such as HashiCorp Vault or cloud-native secret managers.
- Experience supporting microservices, serverless architectures, and event-driven systems.
