As the Plant Manager, you’ll report directly to the Sr. Director of Operations and take the lead in driving performance across our plastic film manufacturing operation. You’ll set the tone for how we operate day-to-day—focusing on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost—while helping us hit our broader business goals.
You’ll also oversee all manufacturing activity at the site, making sure we’re running safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Champion safety every day. You’ll be highly visible on the floor, leading safety initiatives and reinforcing a culture where zero accidents and zero incidents is the expectation.
Ensure compliance. You’ll uphold OSHA standards and company safety policies—for yourself and your team.
Build a strong, positive culture. You’ll foster an environment where employees feel engaged, supported, and motivated to stay and grow long-term.
Drive operational performance. You’ll work to minimize scrap and maximize high-quality output, always looking for ways to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Manage costs and optimize processes. You’ll ensure we’re operating efficiently, focusing on value-added activities while consistently meeting production goals.
Maintain strong controls. You’ll oversee inventory, financial processes, and capital spending to ensure accuracy and accountability.
Continuously improve operations. You’ll identify and implement upgrades to equipment, processes, and production methods to boost performance.
Lead and develop the team. You’ll guide managers and supervisors, ensuring they have the tools, direction, and support they need to succeed.
Own capital projects and equipment reliability. You’ll manage projects, preventive maintenance programs, and key performance metrics to keep operations running smoothly.
Ensure quality and food safety compliance. You’ll maintain ISO and SQF standards while reinforcing strong manufacturing and quality practices.
Oversee site performance. You’ll be accountable for the safe, efficient operation of the Griffin facility.
Pitch in where needed. Like any leadership role, you’ll take on additional responsibilities as the business requires.
