Job Description

Spear D Construction is seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant and Treatment Project Manager to lead and execute large-scale construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with company standards.

We are looking for a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can successfully manage multiple moving parts while maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams. A past history in water and wastewater treatment plant work experience is desired for this position.

Job Requirements

  • Manage large construction projects from planning through closeout
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, materials, and manpower
  • Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure scope alignment
  • Coordinate with field supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors to maintain productivity and quality standards
  • Track project costs, approve invoices, and manage change orders
  • Conduct jobsite visits and attend progress meetings
  • Identify and resolve project challenges proactively
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, local codes, and company policies
  • Lead internal project meetings and provide regular updates to leadership
  • Support pre-construction efforts including bid reviews and project planning as needed

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience in construction project management with a history of managing water and wastewater treatment plant work.
  • Background in civil construction, utilities, earthwork, concrete, paving, or similar industries preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project lifecycle management
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience managing project budgets and schedules
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and Outlook
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
