Job Description

Spear D Construction is seeking an experienced and field-driven Plant & Treatment Superintendent to oversee and execute water and wastewater treatment plant construction projects from mobilization through completion. This role is responsible for managing daily field operations, supervising crews and subcontractors, and ensuring all work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company standards. We are looking for a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and has a proven background in plant and treatment facility construction.

Job Requirements
  • Oversee daily field operations for water and wastewater treatment plant construction projects
  • Supervise field crews, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure productivity and quality standards
  • Coordinate installation of civil, structural, mechanical, and process systems
  • Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure proper execution
  • Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and jobsite logistics
  • Conduct regular jobsite safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety policies
  • Identify and resolve field challenges proactively to maintain project timelines
  • Ensure all work complies with project specifications, local codes, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in progress meetings and provide updates to Project Managers and leadership
  • Support project closeout activities, inspections, testing, and commissioning as needed
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience in construction with a history of water and wastewater treatment plant work
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or superintendent experience preferred
  • Strong background in civil construction, utilities, structural concrete, piping, and mechanical equipment installation
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and construction best practices
