Full Job Description
Siemens Industry is looking for a Planner/Buyer for our Grand Prairie, Texas Breaker manufacturing facility. Our growing facility produce high-quality, engineer-to-order power distribution equipment. Our processes include material handling, metal fabrication, painting, final assembly and test. The position is responsible to balance supply and demand and coordinate the different functions within the manufacturing plant to ensure the completion of the customer orders on time in the most cost effective/productive way to meet our financial targets as well.

You will make an impact by:
  • Coordinate and balance supply and demand. Evaluating work center capacity and material supply to develop detailed production plans to achieve a high level of schedule adherence.
  • Works closely with production and customer service to plan and prioritize operations to fulfill customer requirements on time and ensure maximum performance, considering resources needed and available, to meet, at the same time, our financial goals.
  • Works closely with purchasing and procurement to ensure material availability and to find alternatives when facing challenges.
  • Drive and coordinate daily production meetings.
  • Analyzes large amount of data to develop strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Review, update and/or fix SAP material master or configurations.
  • Responsible for meeting delivery reliability, schedule adherence and cost saving/productivity initiatives for the site.
  • Support the coordination and execution of customer/engineering changes.
  • Promote teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluates current supply chain and support improvement it by working with our local and corporate resources.
  • Publish weekly and monthly schedules to the internal support teams, such as purchasing, warehouse, Fabrication, etc.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in production planning or production control with SAP system in manufacturing environment.
  • BS/BA/BSE in related discipline, or advanced degree. Experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Advanced hands on knowledge of and Microsoft Office (Excel).
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Skills:
  • APICS Certification
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), organization, problem solving skills

The pay range for this position is $60,333 - $103,428 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
