Practice Details
Sanford Health has an opening for a Fellowship trained Colorectal Surgeon to join its
Surgery Department in Fargo, North Dakota. Experienced candidates preferred but new
graduates are welcome to apply.
• Join a group of 3 colorectal surgeons and 16 other surgeons with expertise in breast surgery, bariatric surgery, oncology surgery, general surgery and trauma and acute care surgery
• 23 exam rooms, 3 clinic procedure rooms and 2 proctology exam rooms
• DaVinci XI and DV5 robot available
• Practice consists of clinic, operating room, and endoscopy suite
• Teaching of surgical residents and medical students through the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences

Job Description
A physician who specializes in invasive procedures in the colon and rectal areas, as well as general operations on the lower digestive tract.
Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. degree
Successful completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency followed by a fellowship in Colon & Rectal Surgery
Must hold an active medical license for each state in which the physician practices - either physically or virtually.
Must have a DEA for each state in which the physician physically practices.
Board Certified in Colon & Rectal Surgery by the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery or equivalent (American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada). If physician is not board certified upon commencement of employment, they must achieve board certification as outlined in the privileging documents.
Privileging documents and related credentialing requirements will supersede this job description in defining minimum qualifications, criteria, and scope of practice, if variation between documents exists.
