How you'll make an impact in this role- Ensure the appropriate selection, dosing, administration, and dispensing of medications, including mail-order and retail pharmacy operations.
- Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems; recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.
- Compound and dispense medications accurately while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to pharmacy standards and protocols.
- Provide drug information, patient counseling, and education to patients, physicians, and other clinical staff; communicate with healthcare providers to support effective patient care.
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff in medication preparation, maintenance, and dispensing; provide pharmacy coverage as needed and assist with training/precepting pharmacy students.
What minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- Pharmacist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
