What you'll be doing

As a Performance Lead, you'll be a strategic partner to the Crew Lead, playing a pivotal role in driving the success of both business and technology outcomes. You'll translate strategic priorities into actionable execution, ensuring that our organizational strategies are tightly aligned with delivery. Using your expertise, you'll establish transparent frameworks and measurement systems to track progress and proactively identify opportunities for improvement. You'll collaborate across crews and stakeholders to optimize performance, support compliance, and ensure that every outcome is positioned for maximum strategic impact. While you won't have formal people leadership responsibilities, you'll influence and orchestrate crew-level planning, performance tracking, and execution guidance to help CIBC achieve its enterprise objectives.

How you'll succeed
  • Orchestrate crew-level planning - Lead planning processes for highly complex crews, ensuring that outcomes and metrics are aligned with enterprise strategy and that integration dependencies are considered across teams and systems.
  • Performance tracking & analysis - Monitor and analyze crew performance against critical metrics, collaborating with Agile Coaches to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and enhance customer experience and operational effectiveness.
  • Execution guidance - Provide expert guidance on advanced tools, techniques, and domain-specific knowledge to maximize business and client value, particularly where work is foundational or highly integrated.
  • Resource tracking - Oversee workforce allocation and utilization to support strategic decision-making and delivery of outcomes, prioritizing crews with specialized or unique skill sets.
  • Compliance & governance support - Maintain oversight of compliance with delivery frameworks and regulatory requirements, and support Crew Leads and Product Owners in managing governance escalations and reporting needs.
  • Insight creation & relationship building - Drive transparency and actionable insights to advance strategic objectives, and build strong relationships with Crew Leads, Product Owners, Agile Coaches, and other key stakeholders.
