This Is a Rare Kind of RoleWe're looking for our
first People & Talent hire - someone who will own both the talent machine and the people foundation underneath it.

The roles you'd be filling. You won't be hiring for generic positions. You'd be building the team behind a new market category - finding the GTM leads, engineers, and operators who want to be part of something early and a market category that is being defined by Passionfroot.
The ownership. There's no existing people function to inherit or navigate. You'd design it from scratch, own it end-to-end, with direct input into how Passionfroot builds its culture and team quality.
The access. You'd work directly with the founders and Head of Operations. No layers, no bureaucracy - real decisions made fast with the people building the company.
What you'll ownTalent (primary spike)- Build and run the hiring function end-to-end
- Partner with founders and hiring managers on hiring plans and role prioritization
- Drive hiring across key functions including go-to-market, growth, and product/engineering
- Build sourcing, interview, and assessment processes that are rigorous and efficient
- Create a strong candidate experience from first touch through day one
- Help train the team to become strong interviewers and talent spotters
- Build the foundations of the recruiting machine so hiring becomes scalable and repeatable
People Operations- Own onboarding - design a world-class experience for every new hire across all geographies
- Manage payroll and partner on compensation processes, including cross-border employment setup and compliance
- Drive culture - own team rituals, values reinforcement, and employee engagement initiatives as we scale
- Build the people foundations (leveling, policies, handbook, tooling) that a growing multi-geo team needs
Who we're looking for- Strong talent acquisition background in high-growth startups
- Experience scaling a company through a similar stage of growth
- Comfortable hiring across multiple geographies, ideally US and Europe; Brazil exposure is a plus
- Strong judgment on talent quality, especially in New York go-to-market hiring
- Able to distinguish polish from substance in highly competitive markets
- Hands-on operator who is happy building from scratch
- Strong communicator who can represent the company credibly and compellingly
- High ownership and ability to operate with speed
- Brings genuine people operations experience - onboarding, payroll, leveling, cross-border employment, and culture-building are not afterthoughts for you
