What You'll Do

With a beloved product, a recognizable brand, and millions of paying subscribers, Calm stands at the forefront of the global mental health movement. Success, in part, has been driven by a relentless culture of innovation coupled with a singular focus on making the world happier and healthier. We are looking for an experienced, versatile Designer to join the Partnerships Team to help grow Calm's product and distribution partnerships worldwide. This role is integral to driving Calm's growth through high-impact collaborations across Business Development, Brand Licensing, and Partner Success. As a Partnerships Designer, you will collaborate closely with Business Development Managers, Partnerships Marketing, and Strategic Partner Managers (SPMs) to conceptualize and develop innovative, on-brand design solutions. Key responsibilities include:

Business Development
  • Create and update high-stakes pitch presentations for specific partner propositions (e.g., Calm for Brands, Calm Offers) and verticals like Travel and Connected Health.
  • Build bespoke presentations for flagship partners.
  • Develop visual building blocks and mockups of in-app UI, including co-branded partner pages and Calm integrations into partner UX (e.g., Calm on a Hilton TV or in a Lincoln car).
  • Design B2B marketing assets, including long/short form case studies, data storytelling/infographics, LinkedIn posts, and more.
  • Support the Partnerships website and create invitations for industry events.

Brand Licensing
  • Ideate and create mockups for licensed and co-branded products and their packaging, integrating Calm's logo and marks.
  • Visualize in-store and on-shelf merchandising with branded product mockups.
  • Create lifestyle representations of branded products to show typical use cases and user benefits.
  • Develop style guide assets and guidance for partnering brands to ensure brand consistency.

Partner Success
  • Deliver visual assets for signed deals, including in-app Partner Page artwork, logo lockups, and phone mockups.
  • Design assets for marketing channels, including blog posts, newsletters, social assets, and lifecycle email campaigns.
  • Create external-facing materials such as GTM decks, Quarterly Business Review decks, and renewal pitch decks.

Who You Are
  • An outstanding portfolio showcasing a strong understanding of design principles, specifically in pitch deck design, product mockups, and layout.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Expert-level ability to create visual building blocks and narrative-driven decks that communicate complex partner value propositions.
  • Experience designing for both digital (app UI mockups, social) and physical (packaging, on-shelf merchandising) media.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating across diverse teams, including Marketing, Product, and external partners.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while adhering to Calm's brand guidelines.
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance and streamline design workflows rather than replace them, heavily valuing your creative vision alongside your execution efficiency.

Nice to Haves
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, or a related field
  • Previous experience in tech, wellness, or a similar fast-paced industry
  • Strong illustration skills are highly preferable but not required
  • Work experience in the Mental Health space
  • Experience thriving in a remote-first company

Minimum Requirements
  • 5 years of related experience in design
