What you'll doAs our OSP Engineering Project Manager, you will keep our projects moving smoothly, safely, and on schedule. Your day-to-day will include:
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that outline key tasks, milestones, timelines, and deliverables to keep everyone aligned.
- Risk Management: Keep an eye on the big picture to identify potential bottlenecks (like budget constraints or delays) and implement proactive, creative solutions to mitigate them.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Lead engaging progress meetings and provide regular, clear status updates to executives, clients, and team members.
- Quality Control: Monitor ongoing progress and ensure our final deliverables consistently meet high organizational standards and client expectations.
- Engineering Review: Review engineering drawings and prints with a keen eye for quality and constructability.
- Bridge the Gap: Identify engineering issues early and work to create a seamless, collaborative feedback loop between our engineering and construction teams.
- Project Logistics: Create desktop takeoff sheets and submit purchase order requests to keep field teams equipped.
- Executive Visibility: Help design, create, and support weekly slide decks for executive reviews, showcasing our team's wins and progress.
What you'll need- Leadership & Collaboration: A proven ability to motivate cross-functional teams, build consensus, and delegate tasks effectively.
- Top-Notch Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills-you know how to tailor your message to everyone from field techs to executives.
- Problem-Solving Prowess: Sharp critical thinking and quick decision-making abilities when faced with shifting project needs.
- Industry Foundations: A solid, basic understanding of both aerial and underground construction methods.
- Permitting & Utility Experience: Hands-on experience submitting pole attachment applications and successfully navigating/receiving permits from various municipalities.
- Education & Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a related field OR 5+ years of relevant, hands-on work experience.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to manage data and build clean presentations.
- Leadership Track Record: Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience.
- The Basics: Legal authorization to work in the United States, and the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle record check.
Preferred Extras (Bonus Points!)- 3-5 years of dedicated OSP engineering and construction experience.
- Specific regional work experience in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or Montana.
- Direct experience working with TelecomFiber companies systems and standards.
- Proficiency in Smartsheet to track and automate workflows.
