Job DescriptionIngram Content Group (ICG)is hiring an
Oracle Developer. The Oracle Developer performs maintenance of Oracle based, internally developed applications for Print on Demand business, including development of back-end applications, system enhancements, and interfaces with other systems.
Thisposition will require 3 days in the office, candidates must be in or willing to relocate to the Nashville, TN region.
The ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science or related field or directly related year-for-year experience
- 2+ years' experience with Oracle including SQL, pl/sql
We have a preference for:- Experienced with programming (stored procedures, packages etc.) in Oracle Enterprise Edition, fluent in Oracle PL/SQL
- Strong working knowledge of SQL.
- Hands-on experience with UTL_FILE for file I/O operations
- Strong knowledge of XML file structures (schema design, parsing, generation)
- Linux & shell scripting
- Experience with Oracle Scheduler (DBMS_SCHEDULER) for job automation and monitoring
- Hands-on experience with UTL_FILE for file I/O operations
- Strong knowledge of XML file structures (schema design, parsing, generation) Solid understanding of Oracle transaction management, locking, and concurrency control
- Experience managing large table data lifecycle, including purging and archiving strategies
- Java/JSP experience a plus
- Experience with Claude Code a plus
The Oracle Developer's key responsibilities are:- Participates in analysis, development, support and testing for custom stored procedures, functions, and packages in Oracle PL/SQL to support backend application logic
- Builds and maintains complex Oracle packages, including package specifications and bodies, following modular and reusable design principles. Writes and optimize SQL queries, including use of Oracle analytic/window functions for reporting and data analysis needs
- Regularly monitors and tunes SQL and PL/SQL code for performance, including execution plan analysis
- Manages lifecycle of large database tables, including scheduled purging/archiving of historical or obsolete data
- Generates flat files, XML, and JSON outputs from the database using UTL_FILE and native Oracle XML/JSON packages. Writes and maintains Unix/Linux shell scripts to support job automation, file processing, and system integration tasks
- Integrates PL/SQL processes with OS-level scripts for end-to-end automation
- Designs solutions that safely handle concurrent access to shared data, avoiding locking conflicts and deadlocks
- Interacts with Oracle support to research and resolve issues
- Provides technical support to the Application Services group
Hiring Salary Range: $110,981 - $141,123. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
