As the operations project manager for network decom, you will serve as the primary strategic owner and end-to-end program lead for our global network decommissioning initiative. This role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of network asset retirement across all Points of Presence (POPs) globally, as well as the subsequent inspection, sorting, and repackaging operations at our primary global warehouse hubs (Atlanta, Amsterdam, and Singapore).
You will act as the central bridge between internal stakeholders, vendor partners, and downstream logistics providers, serving as the main escalation point for clients. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring a blend of strategic forecasting, vendor governance, capacity planning, and hands-on logistics coordination to ensure strict SLA adherence and continuous process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Governance & Escalation Management:- End-to-End Oversight: Own the global strategy and execution of the network decommissioning program from site de-installation through hub processing.
- Primary Escalation Point: Act as the dedicated point of contact for client stakeholders, swiftly resolving operational bottlenecks, SLA breaches, or critical project risks.
- Reporting & Analytics: Establish, track, and report on global program health metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for executive leadership.
- Warehouse, Logistics & Capacity Planning.
- Hub Operations Management: Oversee the inspection, testing, data-wiping (where applicable), and repackaging workflows at our primary regional hubs (Atlanta, Amsterdam, Singapore).
- Capacity & Forecasting: Develop robust forecasting models to anticipate incoming decom volume, balancing workloads across global hubs to prevent capacity constraints.
- Logistics Coordination: Manage the complex reverse logistics pipeline, ensuring seamless material flows between decommissioned POP sites, warehouse vendors, and downstream recycling or remarketing partners.
- Vendor Management & Material Decisions.
- Purchasing & Disposition Decisions: Make strategic, data-driven decisions regarding material purchasing (packaging, specialized shipping crates) and asset disposition (refurbish, harvest for spares, or recycle).
- Continuous Improvement: Identify operational inefficiencies and champion global standardization and automation initiatives to reduce cycle times and program costs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum Qualifications: - Experience: 5+ years of experience in project/program management, supply chain, and infrastructure operations.
- Domain Expertise: Proven track record managing large infra projects.
- Global Operations: Experience managing and coordinating global ops/projects.
- Vendor Management: Strong background in managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers and setting/enforcing SLAs.
- Certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent supply chain/project management certifications are a strong plus.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and present clearly to tech clients.
