Full Job Description
SALARY: Starting Salary Opportunity: $98,400 - $116,800

  • Actual base pay will depend and vary based on factors such as individual experience and skills of the applicant.


BONUS: Bonus at Target $24,600

  • This role may also be eligible for discretionary long-term incentive awards


  • Variable Compensation opportunities are contingent on individual performance and overall business results, pursuant to the Bonus Plan; listed amount are targeted values and not guarantees

LOCATION: Creston BC. 5 days/week in office

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure daily production efficiencies and schedule attainment are met


  • Assure quality expectations are met


  • Oversea can and keg operations


  • Manage a team of 10-20 Employees


  • Monitor safety regulations to ensure employee compliance


  • Manage the relationship with the union as required


  • Manage the development of employees through training, informal feedback and individual performance appraisals


  • Ensure effective interaction between packaging department and internal/external customers


  • Ensure efficient operations in the packaging department through the use of the Management control and reporting system


  • Manage priorities and equipment availability for the department


  • Involved in the planning, directing and managing of packaging activities in pursuit of key performance indicators


  • Coach workforce through troubleshooting and monitoring of packaging and operating processes and equipment.


  • Lead process improvement and initiate change


  • Responsible for entire departmental operating budget


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, science, business


  • 5 years experience in a related role


  • Working knowledge of environment, health and safety regulations


  • Experience in brewing, packaging and quality (or combination)


  • Experience working in a unionized environment


  • Strong computer skills


  • Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge


  • Strong technical and problem solving skills


  • Strong leadership and coaching skills required


  • Willingness to work as needed outside of regular business hours
