Full Job Description
Position: Operations Engineer II - AMZ25005.2

Location: Rockford, IL

Multiple Positions Available:
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives in support of operations teams within a geographic node.
• Spearhead floor layout redesign, evaluate ergonomic needs and conduct capacity planning and analysis studies including operational execution plan.
• Plan and design systems that meet business needs by improving integration of people, materials, equipment, software and finance.
• Ensure all operation plans comply with all local, state, and internal standards and requirements.
• Work independently with internal and external engineering teams to successfully deliver high-quality, cost-effective projects (e.g., on-time, on-budget, maintainable, low-defects).
• Participate in design reviews and support execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors.
• Deep dive technical solutions that optimize operations or determine root cause of defects and their resolution.
• Set project priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules to meet deadlines. Communicate project status and budget status, effectively answer project questions in detail, and regularly produce clear and concise summaries to leadership/management team at all project stages.
• Capture and synthesize the Voice of Customer (VoC) for all new product introductions and leverage this information to prioritize system defects. Lead the triage efforts with internal teams, and apply lessons learned to enable continuous improvement, acceleration and deployment scale.
• Conduct project management from start to finish. Recommend and implement changes to safety procedures, work methods and labor standards.
• Manage the installation of complex cross-functional projects with considerable impact. These projects may span organizations or geographies in support of business objectives.

(40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $84906 - $114900)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil or Biological) or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered, or as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil or Biological) or a related field and three years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or a related occupation as equivalent to a Master's degree and one year of experience.

Must have one year of experience in the following skills:

1) Managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects.

2) Implementing automated equipment or integrated systems.

3) Using CAD software including AutoCAD, REVIT, or BIM 360.

The pay range for this position in Rockford, IL is $84906 - $114900 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
