Volt is immediately hiring an Operations Supervisor in Brisbane, CA.As an
Operations Supervisor you will:
- Assist in the daily operation of a transfer station.
- Assign employees to balance workloads and direct the work of equipment operators, sorters, spotters, and laborers.
- Assist with preparation of daily schedules and payroll time records.
- Support efficient site operations by identifying policy or rule infractions and working with management on corrective actions.
- Resolve customer service concerns and respond to service-related issues.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures and promote a safe work environment.
- Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with site requirements and state regulations.
- Coordinate pickup of recyclables from area locations and collection bins.
- Assist with training, coaching, and evaluation of site personnel.
- Develop strategies and recommendations to address operational challenges and improve performance.
Required Qualifications: - Minimum 3 years of experience in resource recovery, waste, recycling, organics processing, transportation, production, logistics, or related operations.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
- Knowledge of personnel training, supervision, and employee evaluation.
- Understanding of workforce planning, resource allocation, and budgeting principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience in transfer station, recycling, waste management, or resource recovery operations.
Pay Rate: $41.00/hour
Hours: Full-Time Day Shift
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
