Full Job Description
Role Summary:

This role is responsible for providing technical customer support in the pre-order and post-shipment phases to external Flowserve customers. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting existing applications through seal failure analysis and trouble job support. The Onsite Aftermarket Engineer is considered the "go-to technical expert" for Flowserve's entire pump/valve/seals and systems product portfolio and is heavily relied upon to provide technical expertise and recommendations to achieve reliable product operation. The incumbent reports to the Aftermarket Engineering Manager.

Accountabilities
• Drive a culture based on customer focus, ethics and commitment for continuous improvement and safety
• Foster cooperation between Sales, Commercial Operations, Order Engineering support of Business Unit personnel with respect to the customer needs.
• Provide technical product information external customers.
• Complete failure analysis reports as required to support customers.
• Provide root cause analysis support for troubleshooting existing applications and providing recommendations to improve product reliability.
• Use standardized tools such as FEA to analyze new and existing products.
• Provide product selections guidance to sales and application engineers on high duty applications.
• Provide training to Application and Sales engineers and customers.
• Support CIP/Lean projects to improve efficiency and quality
• Support technical review of customer repairs
• Develop and oversee test programs to address customer performance issues and validate performance of custom designs

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Engineering degree or equivalent with minimum 3 years rotating equipment and/or sealing equipment experience.
• Knowledge of Flowserve and/or competitor Seal Products is highly desired.
• Experience with root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and detailed engineering analysis.
• Able to effectively deliver information via email, phone calls, reports, and in person.
• Person must be motivated and hard working with a sense of urgency to meet Customer expectations in a timely manner.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong computer skills and experience with MS Product Suite and various Engineering software.
• Onsite/field experience a plus.
• Engineering degree or equivalent with minimum 3 years rotating equipment and/or sealing equipment experience.
• Knowledge of Flowserve and/or competitor Seal Products is highly desired.
