Full Job Description
The Subject Matter Expert (SME) - CNC Programming & ManufacturingEngineer is a highly experienced and technically proficient leader to implement global standardization and technical innovation. While CNC programming is a key part of the role, this position goes beyond programming execution to support manufacturing engineering and process excellence. The ideal candidate will serve as a foundational pillar for our Machining Community of Practice, mentoring, and executing excellence in multi-axis machining, turning, grinding, advanced tooling design, and complex aerospace component repair and new make products.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, review and execute complex multi-axis CNC programming (3-5 axis) utilizing digital manufacturing techniques.
• Provide technical mentorship to manufacturing engineers, technologists, and technicians.
• Ensure effective technology transition from engineering to operations.
• Identify and implement engineering solutions to reduce cycle times and fabrication costs.
• Design advanced work-holding to improve legacy and new processes.
• Advanced knowledge of CNC programming, traditional machining processes, and aero-engine materials/alloys.
• Technical Leadership: Lead the Global Communities of Practice to develop and publish Standard Operating Procedures, manufacturing guidelines and process maturity matrices across diverse machining applications.
• Collaborate across global organizations to deploy best practices and drive method and equipment standardization.
• Support the skill development and mentoring for CAD/CAM software and advanced machining techniques.
• Strong problem solving and influencing skills to support manufacturing bottlenecks.
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with customer specifications and internal quality standards.

Qualifications
• Minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in engineering-level projects with complex manufacturing challenges (aerospace industry), including manufacturing engineering or advanced manufacturing within regulated industries (aerospace preferred).
• Demonstrated experience with manufacturing, automation, DFM, optimization and implementation in a production environment.
• Experience supporting multi-site or global manufacturing operations.
• Expected travel 50% or more

Education Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials Engineering or applicable industrial engineering experience (or related discipline) preferred.
