Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture and design of enterprise Omnissa Horizon and VDI solutions.
Develop High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), implementation plans, and operational documentation.
Architect environments supporting thousands of virtual desktops and concurrent user sessions.
Design highly available and resilient Horizon architectures across multiple datacenters.
Design and implement:
Omnissa Horizon
Horizon Connection Servers
Unified Access Gateway (UAG)
App Volumes
Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM)
Workspace ONE
Horizon Cloud and hybrid-cloud integrations
Design desktop pools, golden images, application delivery, profile management, and user-environment strategies.
Develop solutions for persistent and non-persistent desktop use cases.
Design disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for EUC environments.
Define capacity, performance, scalability, and availability requirements.
Integrate Omnissa platforms with enterprise identity services, including Active Directory, SSO, MFA, and identity providers.
Work closely with networking teams on routing, switching, load balancing, firewall, DNS, DHCP, and remote-access requirements.
Collaborate with storage teams to optimize VDI performance, capacity, latency, and data-protection strategies.
Design secure external-access architectures using UAG and enterprise load-balancing technologies.
Develop infrastructure sizing models based on user personas, concurrency, application requirements, and workload characteristics.
Lead or participate in VDI migrations, upgrades, platform consolidations, and modernization initiatives.
Troubleshoot complex performance and availability issues across the complete EUC technology stack.
Establish architecture standards, reference architectures, operational best practices, and design patterns.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and administrators.
Lead customer workshops, discovery sessions, architecture reviews, and technical presentations.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in End User Computing, virtualization, or enterprise infrastructure architecture.
5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing VMware Horizon and/or Omnissa Horizon environments.
Expert-level understanding of enterprise VDI architecture.

Microsoft Active Directory

Enterprise authentication and SSO
Strong understanding of virtualization platforms, particularly VMware vSphere/VCF and/or Nutanix AHV.
Experience designing highly available, multi-site infrastructure.
Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancing, and application traffic flows.
Working knowledge of enterprise storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, HCI, and all-flash architectures.
Experience with capacity planning and performance optimization for large VDI environments.
Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, networking, operating systems, and application-delivery layers.
Experience producing professional architecture and engineering documentation.
Ability to translate business and user requirements into technical architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Nutanix AHV and Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI).
Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
Experience designing Omnissa environments for healthcare, financial services, utilities, government, or other highly regulated organizations.
Experience supporting environments subject to HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST, CIS, or similar security frameworks.
Experience with Azure, AWS, or other public-cloud platforms.
Experience with GPU-enabled VDI and NVIDIA vGPU.
Experience with automation technologies such as PowerShell, REST APIs, Terraform, or Ansible.
Experience with application packaging and automated image-management processes.
Omnissa, VMware, Nutanix, Microsoft, or relevant cloud certifications are highly desirable.
