Job Description

Saylor Consulting Group is seeking a full-time Office Engineer in San Francisco to support our client San Francisco Public Works in performing office engineering and related services to support the Project Management team as part of an ongoing contract. The ability to work in an in-person capacity is required, with the individual required to be onsite at the agency's offices as directed.

The Office Engineer will support project management activities for large-scale public infrastructure projects. The Office Engineer will work closely with project managers, design teams, construction managers, and client representatives to ensure effective communication, coordination, and documentation across all project phases. This role is integral to the delivery of high-quality support materials that inform operations/stakeholder awareness, decision-making, and maintain project momentum. In addition, the Office Engineer will be responsible for supporting the development of presentation materials for this project.

Daily Duties
  • Develop and edit high-quality presentation materials (PowerPoint, Bluebeam, etc.) for internal and external stakeholder meetings, including progress updates, executive briefings, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Translate technical content into clear, compelling visuals and narratives for diverse audiences, including agency officials and stakeholders.
  • Manage version control, branding consistency, and formatting of all presentation materials and client-facing documents.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, communications staff, and project teams to ensure presentation materials align with project goals and messaging.
  • Proactively manage and drive the presentation development and review process, gathering information from project team members and coordinating client review and approval of content (both technical and graphical).
  • Support project communications, meeting coordination, and stakeholder follow-up.
  • Coordinate responses to client requests and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
  • Coordinate with the program team to maintain accurate Executive Phasing Plans that reflect current project scope, phasing, and schedule.
  • Coordinate and maintain project documentation, schedules, meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, and action item logs.
  • Assist with tracking project deliverables and milestones using project management software tools.
  • Support design and construction coordination by facilitating communication between stakeholders, including the owner, Design Builders, and consultants.
  • Prepare and maintain status reports, dashboards, and document control logs.
  • Assist in the development, monitoring, and updating of project execution plans and procedures.
  • Organize and coordinate team meetings, agendas, and follow-up on outstanding items.


Minimum Qualifications
  • 1-3+ years' experience performing Office Engineering work for large capital construction projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, planning, architecture, or similar degree.
  • Strong visual storytelling and document production skills.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint. Proficiency in Bluebeam, InDesign, and project management tools (e.g., Procore, e-Builder, Primavera P6, or similar) a plus.
  • Organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on clarity, accuracy, and audience awareness.
  • Comfortable interfacing with senior leadership, technical teams, and client stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
