Full Job Description
Office Engineer to provide technical and administrative support for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. This position plays a critical role in supporting project management teams through document control, submittal and Request for Information (RFI) management, project coordination, and construction administration activities throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong construction or engineering background, experience supporting complex capital improvement projects, and the ability to effectively coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist project teams with the receipt, distribution, tracking, and maintenance of construction submittals and RFIs.
• Maintain and update project logs for submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation using project management software.
• Perform document control functions, including construction correspondence, drawing and plan management, and project record maintenance.
• Manage project files and document management systems, both electronic and hard copy, ensuring accuracy and organization.
• Coordinate with contractors and project stakeholders to facilitate timely review, approval, and distribution of drawings, submittals, and RFIs.
• Track review comments, compile responses, obtain management approvals, and issue finalized responses to contractors.
• Prepare project status reports and management information updates as required.
• Create exhibits, presentations, and meeting materials using electronic files and project documentation.
• Attend project meetings and assist with agenda preparation, meeting minutes, and follow-up action tracking.
• Perform expediting functions and maintain expediting logs to support project schedule objectives.
• Provide administrative and project coordination support to project managers, construction managers, design managers, and other project team members.
• Assist with additional project-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of construction and design contracting practices and methodologies.
• Knowledge and experience with the project design lifecycle, from concept development through permitting and construction documentation.
• Knowledge and experience with the construction lifecycle, including pre-construction, estimating, procurement, implementation, and project closeout.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, document management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with contractors, consultants, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Experience supporting submittal management, RFI processing, and construction document control activities.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting airport, aviation, transportation, or other large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience working on projects valued at more than $50 million.
• Experience with project delivery methods including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and CMAR (Construction Manager at Risk).
• Experience utilizing PM Web or similar project management software.
• Experience working within active operating environments.
• Professional certifications or licenses such as PMP, PE, LEED, AAAE, AICP, or other relevant industry credentials.

Anticipated Salary Range: $96,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
