Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Nursing Supervisor to join our team at RYZE on the Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. As a Nursing Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing resident care, managing staff, and ensuring the highest level of quality care is provided to our residents. Duties and Responsibilities:- Assume responsibility and accountability for resident care during shift, ensuring complete and prompt reporting of incidents to Administrator and Director of Nursing
- Actively participate in committee/programs as directed by Director of Nursing
- Oversee resident care to promote the highest level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning possible for assigned unit
- Perform nursing assessments regarding the health/status of residents and ensure that significant changes in resident condition are communicated to the physician, family, or responsible party
- Complete rounding throughout the facility to ensure resident care needs and environmental standards are met, including monitoring of dining room during meal times
- Work collaboratively with other members of the interdisciplinary care team to provide holistic care
- Review clinical records for completeness and accuracy as necessary
- Monitor, track, evaluate, and report infections
- Act as a resource for nursing staff and review applications for admission to the unit with Director of Nursing and Admissions Director
- Collaborate with Director of Nursing to identify and provide orientation and continuing education for clinical team members
Qualifications:- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing plus 5 years of experience as a long-term care nurse, with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in acute, sub-acute, or long-term care
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
- Proficient in the use of computer and programs utilized by the facility
- Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
