El Paso Behavioral Health System is a private 167-bed psychiatric hospital located in El Paso, Texas, specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care. Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the clinical leadership and coordination of all nursing personnel. Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Manager will assure quality nursing care utilizing the nursing process, as outlined by the Texas Nurse Practice Act. The Nurse Manager is responsible for developing unit goals, objectives and Standards of Performance as well as develops, coordinates and implements clinical activities and staff development.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing

Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of TJC, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. CPR certification and successful completion of training in HWC within 90 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
