Full Job Description
Position Summary:
ANSER is seeking a Program Manager to manage the daily activities for the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Nuclear Matters ODASW(NM). In this key role, you will manage a diverse 25+ person team of analysts and subject matter experts who provide support across the various ODASW(NM) directorates.

This position requires all job duties be performed full-time onsite at both the Pentagon an Suffolk Building in Falls Church, VA with no hybrid or remote work options.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and prioritize staff workloads based on ODASW(NM) requirements and priorities.
  • Ensure seamless communications across the contractor support team and between the ODASW(NM) on contractor support tasks.
  • Hire and retain personnel to support the ODASW(NM) and manage personnel task assignments.
  • Coordinate ODASW(NM) tasks and ensure effective personnel collaborations to produce high-quality products.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all tasks.
  • Ensure product peer review to ensure quality control.
  • Review product submission for high-visibility deliverables.
  • Conduct personnel management duties, such as performance counseling, timekeeping approval, etc.
  • Advocate for the contractor support team and serve as the primary interface with the ODASW(NM).


Required Qualifications:
  • Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Master's degree in any field.
  • 15+ years' experience within the US nuclear enterprise.
  • 10+ years of documented experience in leadership, management, oversight, and/or program management.
  • Experience working in an Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) environment.
  • Experience managing personnel and personnel workloads across diverse portfolios and tasks.
  • Experience navigating complex issues involving multiple stakeholders with competing interests in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience engaging and communicating with senior Government and military leaders.
  • Experience delivering timely and accurate written products (e.g., memos, briefs, reports) for senior leaders and executive management.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience successfully managing several direct reports across multiple functional areas.
  • Experience managing contracts and familiar with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Previous programmatic experience, including program management, product realization teams, and cost/schedule development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DoW and Department of Energy (DOE)/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) programming, planning, budgeting, and financial processes.
  • Experience working in the areas of nuclear weapons, forensics, surety, and energy.
