THE WORK
The first line manager of the Small Surface Combatant Operating Environment team will be responsible for the day to day management and successful attainment of all program cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives. The Small Surface Combatant Operating Environment Manager is responsible for personnel and resource management, project planning, scheduling, and execution of the Tactical Operating Environment (OE) development, test, and deployment at Moorestown, NJ test facilities and customer sites in both the CONUS and OCONUS. Duties include providing adequate staffing and training/skill/knowledge base; addressing Engineering Program Management (EPM) staffing requests and performance adjustments; handling contract-related issues (program priorities, test schedules, tools, workload planning, workload balance, task monitoring, issue resolution, etc.); reviewing Earned Value Management (EVM); dealing with out-of-scope requests; participating in key milestone event preparation (PDR, CDR, etc.); keeping the team, upper management, Chief Engineer org, and Program Management informed via Items-of-Information (IOIs), Monthly Program Reviews (MPRs), and Chief Engineer Reviews (CERs), and assuring that Operating Environment development and test processes are followed.

Basic Qualifications

1. BS Degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology or BS/BA with related technical experience.
2. System Engineering, Information Technology, or similar technical Background.
3. Experience with leading Hardware/Software Engineering and or System Integration Teams.
4. Control Account Management (CAM) experience.
5. Program Financial Measurements / Cost Management and reporting experience. Earned Value Management (EVM)
6. Personnel management, problem resolution and employee relations including teammates and subcontractors.
7. High desire to provide customer satisfaction.
8. Demonstrated ability through work experience, to partner across organizations to achieve results.
9. Demonstrated strong communications, coordination, integration, and advanced planning skills.

2. Experience working in an Agile Development environment.
3. Experience with using Digital Transformation technologies, capabilities, and processes to drive innovation and change (i.e. SW Factory, Automation, Data Analytics).
4. Systems or Product Design, and Integration and Test experience.
5. Understanding of Systems Engineering processes for all phases all phases of the engineering process.
6. Systems and Software Engineering experience.
7. CAM Certification or LM PM Certified, PMI Certified or working toward certification.
8. Demonstrated ability through work experience, setting expectations (with all levels).
9. Demonstrated and recognized for Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors and skills.
10. Working knowledge of Information Technology processes, tools, technologies, and digital transformation.

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $141,300 - $244,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
