We are hiring a Director of Engineering at Hotel West & Main, Tapestry by Hilton in Conshohocken

Are you looking for a great opportunity to join a company where use your engineering background at one of North America's fastest growing hospitality companies? Our Director of Engineering role will provide you a venue to apply your expertise in property engineering, leadership, and preventative and reactive maintenance. This is a great opportunity to put your stamp on this busy hotel property.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the Maintenance Department, ensuring company standards are adhered to. Duties are inclusive of preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.
  • Training, motivation development, and review of all engineering staff. Keeping in step with our company's objective of the professional development of our associates, and a positive work environment. It is important that the Director of Facilities understands all functions of his/her staff, and can complete those functions in the associate's absence.
  • Ensure fulfillment of preventative maintenance program, develops and maintain deep cleaning schedule to specific brand standards.
  • Follow-up and maintains compliance with all Franchise, Safety and OSHA Programs, policies, procedures, and reports.
  • Initiates new procedures to increase efficiency of labor and safe chemical and equipment use.
  • Develop an inspection program for all public areas and guestrooms to ensure that proper maintenance and standards are achieved and sustained.
  • Ensure that Engineering is utilizing the Transcendent program to report all deficiencies. Create a process to track and review weekly to ensure that this the process is being utilized by all departments within the hotel as well. Ensure all items are being addressed in a timely manner (both room requests and preventative maintenance items) and that we do not fall below the threshold of acceptable completion.
  • Ensure routine preventive maintenance on equipment is done. This is including, but not limited to heating, and air condition units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire/smoke alarms, fire equipment and plumbing. These are performed as required by the manufacturer and in accordance with the warranty specifications.
  • Maintain the hotel grounds; curb appeal, and building exteriors consistently.
  • Educate and lead all department personnel on emergency procedures, key control, safety, and life safety precautions.
  • Ensure that Engineering is meeting all guidelines established by the Brand for the QA audit as well as by Concord as it relates to the internal audit.
  • Manage capital and operating budgets.
  • Oversee inventory management, department budgeting, safety controls, annual certifications/licenses.
  • Capital planning.
  • Maintain room quality based on Hilton franchise standards and Concord standards, providing the highest quality of customer service at all times.
  • Repair and routinely maintain all hotel operating systems.
  • Manage and repair HVAC and associated parts as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with Hotel General Manager, Concord, and hotel ownership on areas of concern within the hotel.
  • Tap into resources as needed, for finding emergency replacement parts.
  • Provide the highest quality of service to guests and to fellow associates at all times.

Salary $90,000-$100,000
