Roles & Responsibilities
  • Review, analyze, and prioritize vulnerability findings affecting cloud-hosted infrastructure and services.
  • Perform vulnerability remediation through patching, configuration changes, security hardening, and compensating controls.
  • Execute cloud-based patching and update activities for Windows, Linux, and cloud workloads.
  • Validate remediation efforts and ensure successful closure of vulnerabilities within defined SLAs.
  • Create and maintain remediation tickets, change records, and audit documentation.
  • Follow established change management, security, and compliance processes.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Operations, Security, Architecture, Application, and Risk teams to resolve security issues.
  • Provide remediation status updates, compliance evidence, and audit support.
  • Identify recurring security issues and recommend process improvements to strengthen cloud security posture.
  • Support initiatives to reduce technical debt and improve overall cloud security and compliance.

Must Have
  • 3+ years of professional IT experience with hands-on exposure to cloud infrastructure, system administration, or vulnerability remediation.
  • 3+ years supporting cloud-hosted environments (Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms).
  • 3+ years of experience with vulnerability remediation, including patching, configuration hardening, and compensating controls.
  • 3+ years of experience administering and supporting Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
  • 3+ years of experience working within ITSM and change management processes (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • 3+ years of experience following security, compliance, and remediation procedures.
  • 3+ years demonstrating strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.
  • 3+ years collaborating with Security, Infrastructure, Cloud Operations, and Application teams.
  • Strong understanding of vulnerability management concepts, including CVEs, CVSS scoring, remediation lifecycle, and security hardening.

Preferred
  • 1+ year of experience with enterprise vulnerability management programs and remediation SLA tracking.
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
  • 1+ year of experience with cloud security posture management (CSPM), cloud security baselines, or security compliance monitoring.
  • 1+ year supporting audit, compliance, risk reporting, or governance initiatives.
  • 1+ year of experience implementing security baselines, CIS Benchmarks, or cloud security best practices.
  • Relevant cloud or security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, AZ-104, AZ-500, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
  • Experience working in government, public sector, or highly regulated enterprise environments.
