About the Job:

Mitsubishi Motors North America is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to help maintain and enhance the critical network infrastructure that connects our locations across North America, cloud environments, and key business partners. This role is essential to ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity across the organization while supporting a growing portfolio of infrastructure and technology initiatives.

Work closely with the Sr. Network Engineer to support network operations and ongoing infrastructure initiatives. The successful candidate will work across on-premises and cloud-based environments, managing network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, wireless technologies, cabling, and virtual networking solutions.

Role Summary:

The Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting Mitsubishi Motors North America's enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity between company locations, cloud environments, and key business partners. This role serves as critical support to the Sr. Network Engineer, helping ensure network stability, disaster recovery readiness, and operational continuity. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly to changing needs, and collaborate closely with the applications, infrastructure and security teams in a fast-paced environment.

As the Network Engineer, You Will:
  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Administer and support switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and structured cabling.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to ensure reliable operations.
  • Maintain secure connectivity between Mitsubishi Motors North America sites, Japan headquarters, cloud environments, and third-party partners.
  • Configure and support WAN, VPN, remote access, and hybrid cloud networking solutions.
  • Support network connectivity for cloud-hosted applications and services.
  • Partner with Information Security teams to implement network security standards, firewall policies, and access controls.
  • Participate in disaster recovery testing and business continuity activities.
  • Lead or contribute to infrastructure upgrades, modernization efforts, and strategic technology projects.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and procedures while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WAN, VPN, and wireless networking technologies.
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting firewalls, network security controls, and remote connectivity solutions.
  • Experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments and complex network architectures.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking concepts and hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network performance and connectivity issues.
  • Understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity, and network resiliency practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Extra Horsepower (Profile Differentiators):
  • Experience with Google Cloud and/or IBM Cloud networking.
  • Hands-on experience with F5 load balancers.
  • Hands-on experience with Fortinet products, including FortiGate firewalls.
  • Experience supporting global connectivity between international locations.
  • Collaboration experience with cybersecurity and information security teams.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Network+, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, or digital transformation initiatives.

  • Develop an understanding of MMNA's network environment, architecture, and connectivity between sites, cloud platforms, and key partners.
  • Partner closely with the Sr. Network Engineer to learn critical systems, processes, and operational responsibilities.
  • Become proficient in supporting network infrastructure, security controls, cloud connectivity, and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Assume ownership of day-to-day network support activities and contribute to ongoing projects and modernization initiatives.
  • Build relationships with IT, Security, and business stakeholders while identifying opportunities to improve network performance, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrate the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

  • Become a trusted Network Engineer and key backup for critical connectivity, infrastructure, and disaster recovery operations across MMNA.
  • Successfully deliver network improvements and strategic projects that enhance stability, security, and scalability.
  • Build strong partnerships across IT, Security, and business teams while helping reduce operational risk through improved documentation, resiliency, and knowledge sharing.

Pay Transparency:

The base salary for this position ranges between$90,000 to $104,000. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
