Full Job Description
As a Network Engineer, you will configure, deploy, and sustain secure network environments supporting two operational mission customers. You will work in a collaborative government and contractor team, prepare systems in a Columbia lab, support fielding at customer and remote locations, and maintain Cisco, Arista, firewall, and cryptographic infrastructure. You'll have the opportunity to combine hands-on lab engineering with operational troubleshooting and directly support globally distributed mission systems. You'll also end your day knowing that you're doing work that truly matters.

Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
  • Configure, deploy, operate, and sustain network infrastructure for mission-critical operational environments.
  • Prepare new systems and upgrade configurations in a secure Columbia laboratory before deployment.
  • Support equipment fielding in person or remotely at customer and third-party locations worldwide.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Cisco and Arista routing and switching infrastructure.
  • Support firewall and cryptographic network devices, including secure terminal equipment and secure telephone networks.
  • Work Jira tickets involving network outages, configuration changes, hardware replacements, and operational support.
  • Perform system security plan compliance activities and support applicable security requirements.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation after completing the required training and mission familiarization.
  • Travel occasionally to overseas locations when mission support requires it.
  • Collaborate with government leads, systems administrators, systems engineers, vendors, and field personnel.
Qualifications
  • Experience configuring and sustaining enterprise or mission networks using Cisco and Arista technologies.
  • Experience supporting operational firewalls, cryptographic equipment, or other secure network devices.
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to overseas locations and provide on-call operational support.
  • Ability to work across laboratory, customer-site, and remote operational environments.
  • Current certification meeting DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I requirements.
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph-level clearance.
  • Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:
  • A high school diploma or GED, plus twelve (12) years of network engineering experience;
  • A bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline, plus eight (8) years of network engineering experience.
  • A master's degree in a related technical discipline, plus six (6) years of network engineering experience.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
  • Experience administering Cisco ASA firewalls.
  • Experience automating repetitive network, inventory, or compliance activities.
  • Experience supporting hyperconverged infrastructure, cloud environments, or containerized platforms.
  • Familiarity with LatteArt and STE, STN, or system security plan compliance requirements.
