Offered Position: Network Dev Engineer II

Job Location: Seattle, Washington



Position Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and scale our network across multiple global datacenters (including existing and new locations). Create and automate deployment processes that increase quality and velocity. Collaborate with our internal customers on designs/solutions and bring them from concept to production. Develop and update our network standards and ensure that the network is deployed to these standards. Work closely with our software teams in defining the tools that allow us to scale at unprecedented volume. Create and review documentation regarding new standard operating procedures and process improvement. Work with data sets related to DC and networking infrastructure, network utilization, traffic demands and forecasts. Develop metrics related to health, availability and cost of the network in AWS regions. Determine what the best network topologies and designs are to minimize cost and latency while ensuring high availability, security and performance, using simulation and optimization tools. Automate all aspects of extending and scaling our networks, including planning.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) major internet routing protocols experience through network layers 1-4; (2) working in a Linux or Unix environment; (3) planning and deploying high capacity optical systems; (4) analyzing datasets using SQL, R, or Python; (5) automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell or Perl; (6) leading improvements in existing processes and identifying opportunities to enhance and develop new processes; and (7) working in a highly available network.

40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $136,000/year to $184,000/year.
