NetSuite Data Consultant
The Role
R-Cubed Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Data Consultant with Oracle NetSuite implementation experience to lead the functional aspects of ERP data migration projects. This role is responsible for helping clients assess, prepare, map, validate, and successfully migrate business data from legacy ERP and accounting systems into Oracle NetSuite.
The ideal candidate combines strong functional Oracle NetSuite knowledge with expertise in data analysis and migration planning. Working alongside functional and technical consultants, they partner with clients to assess data quality, define migration strategies, and ensure migrated data supports successful Oracle NetSuite implementations.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops to understand legacy ERP data structures, business processes, and migration objectives.
- Assess source systems and data readiness for migration into Oracle NetSuite.
- Develop functional data mapping specifications, transformation rules, and validation criteria. Analyze legacy ERP and accounting data to identify data quality issues, gaps, duplicates, and inconsistencies.
- Partner with technical consultants to ensure migration activities align with business requirements. Review and validate migrated data, support reconciliation activities, and coordinate business signoff.
- Participate in mock migrations, cutover planning, go-live activities, and post-production validation. Advise clients on Oracle NetSuite data models, migration best practices, and long-term data governance.
- Communicate migration progress, risks, and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to implementation methodologies, documentation, and best practices while continuing to expand Oracle NetSuite expertise.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Oracle NetSuite consulting, implementation, or administration experience.
- Proven experience supporting data migration activities during Oracle NetSuite ERP implementations.
- Strong understanding of Oracle NetSuite master data, transactional data, record structures, and business processes.
- Experience developing data mapping specifications and validating migrated data.
- Experience with ERP implementations involving finance, accounting, supply chain, inventory, or operations.
- Experience with legacy ERP platforms such as Oracle Fusion, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- NetSuite certifications (SuiteFoundation, ERP Consultant, Administrator) are preferred.
- Experience with Celigo, Dell Boomi, Informatica, Talend, or similar migration and integration tools is a plus.
