Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Neo4j Designer and hands-on Developer to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of large-scale graph database systems. This role will shape core data architecture, drive high-performance graph modeling, and integrate graph solutions with modern cloud environments, real-time streaming, and generative AI ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
• Translate complex business domains and relational data into optimized, highly scalable graph models.
• Write, profile, and optimize complex Cypher queries using EXPLAIN and PROFILE to maintain high-performance response times across large production datasets.
• Troubleshoot memory configurations and perform JVM tuning to optimize Neo4j environments.
• Design and build robust data pipelines using Kafka, Apache Spark, and Change Data Capture (CDC) frameworks for real-time and batch ingestion into Neo4j.
• Assist with or lead the design of Neo4j deployments, clustering, and multi-database environments within AWS cloud ecosystems.
• Work with AWS services and infrastructure components including EKS, EC2, IAM, and VPC networking.
• Implement advanced graph analytics, machine learning capabilities, and Knowledge Graph solutions to support RAG and Generative AI frameworks.
• Implement enterprise IAM, role-based access control (RBAC), encryption standards, and auditing controls.
• Collaborate with data engineering and application teams to integrate Neo4j with enterprise data and application ecosystems.
• Support containerized deployments and CI/CD processes for graph database solutions.
• Optimize graph database architecture, query performance, scalability, and reliability across production environments.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of total software or data engineering experience.
• 4+ years of specialized experience in Neo4j graph database architecture.
• Expert-level proficiency in Neo4j Cypher and performance profiling tools, including EXPLAIN and PROFILE.
• Hands-on experience scaling production Neo4j clusters in AWS cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript for driver implementation and backend integration.
• Experience integrating Neo4j with data streaming and big data technologies such as Apache Kafka and Apache Spark.
• Strong foundation in data engineering, containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with graph modeling, data integration, and graph database performance optimization.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure and enterprise security and governance practices.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with healthcare payer concepts, including Provider Directories, CAQH data, roster processing, or CMS compliance.
• Experience with the Neo4j Graph Data Science (GDS) library.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLM orchestration, RAG, or Knowledge Graph solutions.
• Experience with tools such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform and Ansible.
• Neo4j Certified Professional or Neo4j Certified Architect credentials.
