What You'll Get To Do:

The Mechanical / Process Engineering Supervisor leads and manages the mechanical and process engineering team in the design, development, and execution of industrial and manufacturing facility projects. This role ensures all engineering work meets safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives while adhering to applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. The position requires an active North Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license and the ability to serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) for company projects.

Engineering Leadership & Oversight
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical and process engineers and designers.
  • Oversee the design and analysis of piping, HVAC, process, and utility systems for industrial and manufacturing facilities.
  • Serve as the Professional Engineer of Record (EOR), reviewing and stamping engineering documents to ensure compliance.
  • Support the company in qualifying for and maintaining the company standards
  • Establish and enforce engineering design standards, QA/QC procedures, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams (electrical, civil, structural, controls when needed) to ensure fully integrated project designs.
  • Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and culturally aware work environment.

Project Management & Execution
  • Manage mechanical/process engineering scope, budgets, and schedules across multiple projects.
  • Support project planning, estimating, and proposal development.
  • Provide technical leadership during design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Conduct design and constructability reviews and provide field support during installation and testing.
  • Strong sales relationship with clients
  • Interface with multinational clients, contractors, and vendors, ensuring effective communication and technical solutions.

Compliance & Professional Responsibility
  • Maintain compliance with NC requirements and all relevant codes
  • Ensure all engineering work meets local, state, federal, and client safety and environmental regulations.
  • Uphold professional integrity, ethics, and engineering accountability as the Engineer of Record (EOR).
  • Prepare power point presentations with staff and deliver presentations and meetings with clients
  • Local and national travel required

Education:

Experience:
  • 8+ years of mechanical/process engineering experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.

The wage range of $125,000 - $150,000 is just one component of Panasonic's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
