Full Job Description
Televisa Univision N+ Noticias is looking for a Multimedia Content Lead for Content and Breaking News.

The Multimedia Content Producer will publish time sensitive news stories, as well work closely with the News Director of the designated station, editors, digital producers, video editors and the social media team. Must be a generalist who can handle resourcefully multiple editorial tasks in a breaking news environment.

The Multimedia Content Lead r reports to the VP, Digital News and is responsible for the development, production and editing of content centered on content for the news operations, identify newsworthy angles and potential insights working with other editors to move beyond simplistic story structures of storytelling, pitch, report and publish newsworthy stories. This role works amplifying the content and special coverages coming from linear stations as an extension of the local brands in the multiplatform environment.

YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities)
  • Strong front-end and back-end content editing
  • Coordinating and supervising coverage of major breaking news events and daily stories
  • Working with reporters, digital producers and video editors to develop a steady stream of enterprise, trend and watchdog content
  • Engaging frequently with visual and social media teams
  • Monitor both traditional & social media for breaking news stories
  • Execute distribution and push notifications strategies
  • Execute breaking news protocol
  • Responsible for writing and editing SEO, social and cover headlines
  • Editing and writing clean, fast and accurate copy, headlines and photo and video captions
  • Analyzes Digital KPIs and executes editorial strategies to meet appropriate goals
  • Manages relationship between different Univision Local newsrooms
  • Participates in editorial planning with different stakeholders and with ideas for all the audiences
  • Available to work for weekdays and weekends in alternatives shifts
  • Ensure all content is a dynamic and proper fit for all our news platforms and conforms to the highest ethics and news standards
  • Guarantee best optimization strategies are applied to the content when necessary


YOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a journalist
  • BA/BS preferred in Journalism/Mass Communications or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a newsroom
  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) required
  • Able to make quick decisions and give accurate and clear instructions, as well as verify information before publication.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Perform well in a fast-paced environment and breaking news situations
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of digital trends and audience behaviors
  • Flawless verbal and written skills in Spanish and English. Lively copy writing style
  • Knowledge of Latino and Latin American culture
  • Excellent general web producing skills
  • Strong experience with digital narrative
  • Flexible with schedules and able to work under strict deadlines
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
