About the team and the role: eBay, Inc. seeks MTS 1, Software Engineer in Bellevue, WA
What you will accomplish: Job Duties: Analyze software architecture, and utilize data to prepare design, and develop robust software applications and features. Design and implement new software and systems compatible with the existing shipping infrastructure within eBay. Create and implement new coding and programming sequences and maintain a cadence of building, testing, and continuously deploying code utilizing experience with design patterns and experience working in a layered architecture. Segment and design system layers to support componentized and layered application development, including business functionality and database access. Work with other engineers, managers, product management, quality assurance, and operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs concerning functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and alignment with development goals and principles. Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out system changes. Identify technical areas for improvement and make detailed business cases for improvements or new areas of opportunity. Drive architecture discussions, produce well-documented design docs, and participate in design and code reviews. Ensure code quality and maintainability by evolving architecture and tech stack, refactoring, standards, and improving build and test systems. Develop automated tests and deliver high-quality software code to production within a software development cycle in the continuous integration and delivery environment. What you will bring:Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineer, Information Systems, or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Salary: $212,202.00-290,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional DetailsBase pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
