OverviewWe have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The MS Exchange Administrator provides Role Based Access Control (RBAC) services to ensure we manage the assets and operations support the customer’s mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise wide.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for maintaining customer access through enterprise account management utilizing RBAC in conjunction with Active Directory to ensure secure and managed access to all customer email, systems and equipment.
- Operate and maintain MS Exchange Database Availability Groups (DAGs).
- You will operate and maintain MS Exchange clusters (2019 or later) in data center facilities and Exchange servers (2019 or later) at domestic facilities, ensuring alignment with modern email and collaboration technologies.
- You will work with the centralized Access Control List (ACL), group policies, domains, and Organizational Units (OU).
- You will manage MS Exchange universal security groups, configuration partitions, and membership mapping using shared and RBAC split permissions for over 50K users in both on-premise and cloud systems in accordance with customer policies and regulations.
- You will also develop and maintain MS Exchange administration SOPs for the customer IT service delivery processes aligned Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework and DoS standards.
- Update SOPs to reflect modernization initiatives and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The following are the education and experience required for this position:
- 6+ years
- Bachelor's in IT or related field
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
- Secret Security Clearance
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Comp TIA Sec+, ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)
