Responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Security Operations / Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Analyst works to ensure the customer IT environments is updated and current to support the customer’s mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise wide.
Responsibilties:
- This role creates and maintains standardized secure installation guides for the operating systems, databases, virtual machines, and any other configurable software based on DoS and other Federal configuration guides (e.g., Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)) or best industry practices) for Government approval.
- Security operations support focuses on the operational security administration and SIEM.
- The contractor shall support the implementation, configuration, and administration of the SIEM processes and tools in the CA environment.
- The contractor shall support the development, engineering, configuration, implementation, and/or management of security solutions for addressing specific threats, vulnerabilities, or exposures in the environment requested by the Government.
- You will also perform patch management and security update operations support to maintain operating environment compliance.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The following are the education and experience required for this position:
- 5+ years
- Bachelor's in IT or related field
- Security+; Splunk or SIEM platform Certification(s)
- Secret Security Clearance
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:
