We're looking for a modern Product Manager to join our team and lead the evolution of Rise Scheduling, Time Tracking, and Time Off products. If you have a proven track record of end-to-end product development, from discovery through to launch, and don't flinch at a compliance-heavy domain, this role is for you.

You'll also have the opportunity to shape the future of Payroll & HR in the age of AI, reducing manual work and helping our clients spend less time on admin and more time on their people.

As a fast-growing organization, Rise is a great place for an entrepreneurial self-starter who's comfortable with significant autonomy and ownership and ready to make a meaningful impact on the lives of millions of working Canadians.

The day-to-day
  • Discover and define problems and opportunities, striking a balance between keeping existing customers happy and creating differentiated innovation that accelerates our growth.
  • Prioritize and sequence six-week projects and other small improvements, resulting in a dynamic product roadmap.
  • Use evidence and customer stories to get buy-in from your teammates, influence stakeholders, and evangelize the product vision.
  • Pair up with a Product Designer and a team of Engineers to collaboratively solve customer problems and deliver them within business constraints.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to reduce manual effort for clients and internal teams.
  • Help empower Rise's Go-To-Market and Client Experience teams to effectively bring on new customers and keep the ones we have.

About you
  • 3+ years of Product Management experience - SaaS or fintech preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, presentations, demos, etc.
  • Great logical, analytical, and abstract thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying, breaking down, and prioritizing complex and ambiguous problems within strategic and resource constraints.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with Design and Engineering in a fast-paced, iterative environment to deliver exceptional solutions to customer problems.
  • In-depth customer development, user research, and interviewing skills.
  • Experience in influencing senior stakeholders and leading without formal authority.
  • Proven ability to use data to inform decisions and optimize product performance.
  • Experience using AI to streamline and automate work tasks.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, a growth mindset, and a team-focused mentality.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Canadian payroll.

What Rise offers
  • Rise is all about creating a positive company culture, both for our clients and our employees. We believe that happiness isn't the cause of employee engagement, it's the result.
  • This position offers $90,000-110,000 in base salary, based on experience, plus stock options.
  • We offer a remote work environment. On occasion, we may meet as a team or one-on-one in person.
  • You'll get access to modern tools to get work done: Claude (Premium Team license), Gemini, ProductBoard, Figma, and more.
  • Rise believes that time off is just as important as time spent working. We offer 3 weeks of paid vacation, flexible personal wellness days, as well as one day off for your birthday and your work anniversary.
  • We support your growth with a personal $1,000 learning and development budget to take courses, attend conferences, webinars, you name it!
