MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Mobile Forensics Software Engineer to join our team in Herndon, Virginia. Join a highly recognized elite team of technical leaders delivering advanced Digital Forensics solutions This role supports high-visibility US Government projects, creating cutting-edge mobile application forensic processing capabilities that significantly impact our nation's security.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Reverse engineer mobile software applications to identify and understand significant forensic artifacts.
  • Develop software modules to process mobile application forensic data using Python.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and improvement of current software modules by adding new features and fixing bugs.
  • Develop new software solutions based on team tasking and technical requirements.
  • Use creative license and demonstrate initiative and ingenuity to solve technical challenges.
  • Demonstrate ownership of your area of responsibility to increase capabilities that push the mission forward.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field or High School Diploma with an additional 6 years of coding experience.
  • 10+ years of experience coding in Python, C, C++, C#/.NET, or Java.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience with digital forensics or reverse engineering.
  • Experience with mobile forensics technologies and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of mobile application development platforms such as Android, iOS, Flutter, or React Native.
  • Knowledge of Agile development frameworks and methodologies.


Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Active/Current TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph clearance after hire.


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.


The projected compensation range for this position is $141,500.00-$236,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, MANTECH invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
