The OpportunityAdobe Scan is one of the world's most widely used document capture applications, helping millions of users transform physical documents into high-quality digital assets every day. As we continue to invest in our core product experience, we're looking for a Mobile Engineering Manager to lead the Android team responsible for delivering reliable, intuitive, and high-quality scanning workflows.
This role spans the core Scan experience-from capture and editing to organization and sharing-and focuses on delivering a roadmap that drives user value, performance, and stability. You'll lead an engineering team and partner across Product, Design, and Engineering to build impactful mobile experiences at scale.
What You'll Do- Lead and mentor a team of Android engineers, fostering ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive execution of the product roadmap, partnering with Product and Design to deliver intuitive, customer-centric mobile experiences.
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term investments in architecture, quality, scalability, and developer productivity.
- Provide technical and executional leadership, guiding architecture, key engineering decisions, and cross-platform alignment.
- Partner with ML, imaging, backend, and cross-platform teams to deliver seamless end-to-end experiences.
- Encourage adoption of modern development practices and tools, including AI-assisted workflows.
- Grow and develop a high-performing team through coaching, hiring, and thoughtful leadership.
What You'll Need to Succeed- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in mobile development.
- 5+ years of experience managing software engineering teams and delivering high-quality mobile products.
- Strong technical foundation in mobile architecture, performance optimization, and application lifecycle management.
- Experience building end-to-end product experiences that integrate with backend systems and APIs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to drive clarity and alignment across teams, building trust, and delivering in a collaborative environment
- Demonstrated commitment to engineering excellence, including testing, maintainability, and operational stability.

Expected Pay Range:Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $147,900 -- $293,250 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In California, the pay range for this position is $202,500 - $293,250
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
