Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central SME
Location: Jessup, MD (Onsite 5 Days/Week) -REQUIRED

Position Overview
We are seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Subject Matter Expert to serve as the internal owner and primary point of contact for a recently implemented ERP environment. This individual will play a critical role in supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the platform while partnering closely with business stakeholders across operations, manufacturing, finance, and production.

The ideal candidate combines strong Dynamics 365 Business Central expertise with a deep understanding of manufacturing business processes and ERP best practices. This role will help drive adoption, continuous improvement, troubleshooting, configuration, testing, and long-term platform strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the internal SME and trusted advisor for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Support day-to-day ERP operations, issue resolution, system administration, and user support.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate operational needs into system solutions.
  • Evaluate the impact of system changes across departments and business processes.
  • Partner with end users to improve workflows, increase efficiency, and maximize ERP utilization.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with external vendors or development teams when necessary.
  • Support system configuration, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
  • Develop recommendations for process improvements and platform optimization.
  • Collaborate with leadership and functional teams to ensure the ERP environment supports evolving business objectives.
  • Maintain documentation, system knowledge, and best practices related to the ERP ecosystem.

Required Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Experience serving as a functional lead, SME, administrator, analyst, or systems owner within a Dynamics environment.
  • Background supporting manufacturing, production, distribution, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong understanding of business processes including:
  • Order-to-Cash
  • Billing and Invoicing
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Inventory Management
  • Operational and Production Workflows
  • Ability to evaluate downstream and upstream impacts of system changes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or post-go-live environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Food and beverage manufacturing industry experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform including:
  • Power Apps
  • Power Automate
  • Power BI
  • Azure experience supporting cloud-hosted ERP environments.
  • Microsoft ecosystem development experience.
  • Ability to perform light development, customization, integrations, or automation activities.
