Job DescriptionD365 Technical Architect Role Overview We are seeking 12+ years' experience
Dynamics 365 F&O Technical Architect to lead the technical solution design and governance for ERP implementations. This role is responsible for defining system architecture, ensuring performance at scale, and guiding development teams to deliver secure, efficient, and sustainable solutions aligned with Microsoft best practices.
Key Responsibilities - Architecture Design Define system architecture, extension strategies (avoiding over-layering), customization approaches, and coding standards. Make key decisions on when to leverage standard D365 functionality versus custom development.
- Integration Architecture Design integration strategies for connecting D365 with external ERPs (SAP, Oracle), third-party applications, payment gateways, and logistics systems. Decide on REST APIs vs Service Bus, real-time vs batch, and middleware vs direct integration.
- Data Strategy Define data migration approaches using DMF and Data Entities. Design data models ensuring consistency, scalability, and high-performance underload.
- Development Governance Establish coding standards, review code, and enforce best practices. Identify and resolve performance issues, security flaws, and poor design patterns.
- Performance Optimization Tune batch jobs, queries, and data entities. Proactively identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance before go-live.
- DevOps & Deployment Set up CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. Manage environments (Dev, UAT, Prod) and oversee release management.
- Security Architecture Define roles, privileges, and access policies. Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.
- Technical Leadership Mentor developers, guide technical leads, and act as the escalation point for complex technical challenges.
Key Skills & Experience - D365 Technical Expertise Deep knowledge of D365 F&O technical architecture, customization frameworks, and extension strategies.
- Integration & Data Management Strong experience with Azure Integration Services, APIs, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and data migration frameworks.
- DevOps & Governance Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, environment management, and technical governance.
- Performance & Security Proven ability to optimize system performance and enforce enterprise-grade security standards.
- Leadership & Communication Excellent technical leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder communication skills.
Typical Experience Required - 12+ years in IT solution delivery.
- 10+ years in ERP/D365 F&O technical architecture.
- Proven track record in designing and delivering large-scale ERP implementations.
